A private pool, not a shared one
Most "villa rentals" in Plakias share a pool with the neighbouring units, or list a single pool serving the whole complex. Secret Oasis is built differently. The estate has five standalone villas — four on the hill and one in the valley — and each one has its own individual pool. Walls, terraces and Cretan planting separate them so that you can swim, sunbathe and have breakfast by the water without ever seeing another guest.

- Villa 1 (4 bed, sleeps 10) — large private pool with sun loungers, plus a private balcony jacuzzi. The pool sits below the terrace with the full Plakias Bay view as backdrop.
- Villa 2 (4 bed, sleeps 10) — mirrors Villa 1, with its own private pool and a private outdoor bathtub on the balcony — a quiet alternative to the jacuzzi.
- Villa 3 (1 bed, sleeps 4) — intimate private pool with a more sheltered terrace, framed by palms and a low stone wall.
- Villa 4 (1 bed, sleeps 4) — its own private pool with pergola and palm garden — the quietest of the four hill villas.
- Secret Garden (2 bed, sleeps 4) — a separate private pool inside the fully enclosed valley garden, sheltered from outside view. Different mood: lush, green and almost tropical.
Why it matters in Plakias
Summer in South Crete runs hot from June to September. A villa with private pool in Plakias is the difference between spending the hottest part of the day on the beach with everyone else and spending it in your own water with a book. The pools at Secret Oasis are unheated (designed for summer use), maintained daily, and large enough for actual swimming, not just dipping.
Pool + view + privacy
Each hill villa pool sits where it does for a reason: the pool, the terrace, the loungers and the bedroom all face the bay. So you don't choose between a villa with sea view and a villa with pool — every Secret Oasis villa is both. The same is true for the Secret Garden retreat in the valley, where the pool is wrapped in green instead of sea — a different but equally private setting.

Is the pool fenced or covered?
The pools are open-air, set into the terrace. Each pool is fully shielded from neighbouring villas by walls and planting — no shared visibility.
Are the pools heated?
The pools are unheated and designed for summer use (May–October), when the Cretan sun keeps the water comfortable.
Can children use the pool?
Yes — the villas are family-friendly. Adult supervision is required as the pools have no shallow children's section.
